DigitalNvision deploys SmoothWall for enterprise firewall and VPN solution
In attempt to find solid content filtering, firewall and a scalable VPN solution, Waring Oil Company hired DigitalNvision, Llc. "We have deployed the average firewall, web content filtering and VPN solutions many times before, however, Waring needed something that was truly able to change and adapt in a dynamic environment without breaking the bank."
After testing several solutions, SmoothWall's Corporate Firewall, a Linux-based solution was chosen. SmoothWall Corporate Firewall and a suite of its additional modules were deployed for a seamless fit onto Waring's network. And, while the software is Linux-based, Waring Oil's IT staff can maintain and control the network with a graphical user interface from their workstations. Since it's inception, Waring Oil has curbed firewall penetrations, uninterupted VPN connections and established solid control over web content, such as website surfing.
In summary, the SmoothWall solution is one of the few truly scalable and customizable solutions that does not come in an expensive and limited appliance. DigitalNvision installed this solution in one of their own custom rack servers which has provided unlimited access and scalability on the Waring Network. And it's cost is only a fraction of the cost of an all-in-one appliance
